Frost protection valves
Frost protection valves are safety components designed to help protect the hydraulic circuit of monoblock heat pumps against frost damage during low outdoor temperatures. Linum Europe offers these valves for installations where water pipes run partly outside the building and are therefore exposed to freezing conditions. When the water temperature reaches a critical lower threshold, the valve can automatically discharge water from the circuit to help prevent ice formation and potential damage to pipes and components. This is particularly relevant during power failures, circulation pump shutdowns or other situations where normal water circulation is interrupted. Correct positioning and installation according to the applicable instructions are essential for reliable operation. Choose the right frost protection valve based on connection size, temperature range, working pressure, flow rate and the technical requirements of the heat pump installation.
