Linumgroup celebrates 40th anniversary with #LinumChallenge24

Kuurne, 11 June 2024 - Last Friday, Linumgroup, the West Flanders group of companies with Linum Europe, Plastibac, Prihoda, Fermod and Luftexpressen under its wings, organised a sporty customer event in honour of their 40th anniversary: the #LinumChallenge24. This special event consisted of a 92 km cycling challenge and a 9 km walking challenge through the beautiful Flemish Ardennes, with none other than cycling legend Zdenek Stybar as special guest.

An icon in cycling, Zdenek Stybar has marked his impressive career with three cyclo-cross world championships, two national championships, the World Cup and the Superprestige. On the road, he also scored victories in prestigious races such as stages in the Tour de France and the Vuelta, Strade Bianche, Omloop Het Nieuwsblad and the E3 Saxo Classic.

The #LinumChallenge24 was organised for Linumgroup's customers and was entirely dedicated to celebrating four decades of growth and innovation. The cyclingchallenge offered a unique opportunity to network, cycle with a world champion and, above all, enjoy the beautiful Flemish countryside. The ever-jovial Czech already gave the customers present an unforgettable day in the saddle. The walkers hiked in the same rolling region and enjoyed the beautiful views and a snack and drink at the Hotondmolen.

An event like this, is the ideal opportunity for us to share this passion with our customers. The day was a success and we are already looking forward to edition 2025 !", said Robbie Naessens, CMO at Linumgroup.

After the tours, which were organised in collaboration with Flamme Rouge, there was an atmospheric barbecue where participants could relax and enjoy delicious food and drinks. The day was marked by numerous smiling faces, sports and good weather.
